Streamline Permit to Work Management

Permit Dashboard

The Sinica PTW real time dashboard shows Active Permits, Pending Permits (Permits prepared or partially prepared in advance) and Suspended Permits (Permits on hold).

Each Permit Header details the following:
• Permit Number • Date Issued • Contracting Company • Location of Work • Planned End Date • Next Inspection • Status (Active, Pending, Suspended)

The dashboard also shows all Contractors on site (having signed into Sinica) and further confirms:
• Contractor Name • Vehicle Registration • Time of sign in • Currently assigned to a Permit (or not)

Contractors Database

Authorised Contracting Companies’ details are held within Sinica. Additional supporting information can be viewed at Permit level together with any warnings regarding certification issues (approaching expiry date or expired).

Verification & Validity

When a Permit is issued, the lead Contractor is identified as being responsible for the Permit. To ensure that the responsible person is identified correctly, a photograph and signature is held at both Permit issue and Permit handback. This information is readily available during the live Permit and subsequently available for any subsequent audit.

Permit to Work Selection

Advanced Permit selection ensures that all permits available are correctly selected and the Permits that are not applicable (for the work to be undertaken) are clearly understood and confirmed as not required. Permits can be ‘parked’ to ensure that the Contractor and Permit issuer are able to evaluate the specific work area during Permit creation.
